Senior Scientist at ChemPartner
Q&A with Neha
What is your favorite part of your role here as a Senior Scientist?
I like to work with new technologies like the Beacon platform at ChemPartner USA and support clients with their challenging targets. Additionally, I enjoy developing novel workflows or assays for Beacon which can diversity antibody discovery methods.
What are you most proud of in your career so far?
I feel proud that I was able to lead and support many clients with their challenging targets and developed some novel antibodies while working at ChemPartner. Prior to ChemPartner, I was actively involved in many activities in drug discovery which led many antibody candidates to go through clinical studies successfully.
How would you describe the company culture?
The company culture is very motivating yet flexible. All employees are encouraged to be innovative and develop novel things. It’s a challenging environment because we have to work with many clients with their difficult targets or assays while delivering the best results with tight timelines and with at most transparency.
How has your role evolved over time since you’ve been here?
I evolved scientifically while establishing many aspects of the antibody discovery platform at ChemPartner. I enjoyed taking on more responsibilities and led many client projects successfully. I continued to contribute to many areas like program management, and business development, to promote the Beacon platform for antibody discovery while presenting novel scientific data at many conferences.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I would like to have super speed as a superpower so I can complete many things as quickly as possible. It would be highly effective during our long experiments on the Beacon platform.
What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
The advice I would like to give is to believe in myself and be kinder to myself. Because everyone is unique and that’s what makes the person special. With so many things happening around the world and you chasing many things; it’s important to focus on yourself and your loved ones while being grateful for this life.
